Terms and Conditions

Please ensure that you read our terms and conditions before proceeding. You will be asked to accept them before being allowed to proceed with your booking.


Rooms are subject to availability and The Staff of Life has the right to refuse any booking for any good reason. Guests are usually required to pay for accommodation to confirm their booking.

Check in and Check out times

Guests may check in after 6pm, or earlier if arranged with the Management.
On departure, guests must vacate their rooms and check out no later than 10am to allow the room to be cleaned and prepared for other guests. Failure to do so will entitle The Staff of Life to charge for an additional night. Please remember to leave your entrance and room keys on departure.

Room Prices

Room prices are per room, per night and inclusive of VAT and are displayed inside our main entrance and available upon request.
The room price includes breakfast.
Any other meals or drinks taken are not included in the room price and must be paid for separately. If you make a booking more than one month in advance of your stay, the room price may change because we periodically review our room prices.
We will try to inform you of any price increase but The Staff of Life reserves the right to charge the up to date room price.

If the room price has increased by the time of your stay, you will be entitled to cancel your booking without charge.
The Staff of Life does not allow the selling on of rooms at an inflated price to others and in such circumstances bookings will be automatically cancelled.
The Staff of Life reserves the right to increase the price of rooms for specific dates and for special events.

Non smoking rooms

All our rooms at The Staff of Life are strictly no smoking rooms.
Our main eating area and the bar area are also no smoking areas At the request of guests, our garden area is the only place where ashtrays are provided.

Room bookings and payments

All bookings must be guaranteed by credit/debit card.
The Staff of Life will not make a booking without a credit/debit card payment.
Bookings for one night must be paid in full at the time of booking.
Bookings for more than one night must be guaranteed with a deposit payment to the value of 50% of the stay with us with the balance payable on departure.
The value of any meals and drinks is payable on departure.

We accept payment by cash, credit/debit card and cheque (with a valid cheque guarantee card).
In exceptional circumstances, The Staff of Life may accept a booking without a credit card. In these circumstances, the booking can be guaranteed by email or fax.

Minimum Stay Requirement

Depending upon the date you wish to stay, you will be advised that a minimum period of stay will be required. In this event, you will be required to pay for the full value of your stay to allow us to confirm your booking.


If a guest cancels a booking, The Staff of Life reserves the right to apply the following cancellation charge, unless the room/rooms can be resold:

1. If a cancellation is received before 3 days of the check in date, then 50% of any balance due is payable immediately. This amount will be refunded later if the room/rooms can be resold.

2. If a cancellation is received with less than 72 hours notice, then the full balance of any amount due is payable in full by the date of the original check in date. This amount will be refunded later if the room/rooms can be resold.

3. If a guest has already arrived and would like to depart early, then 50% of any balance due is payable on departure, together with any amount owed for meals and drinks. This amount will be refunded later if the room/rooms can be resold (excluding any amount paid for meals and drinks).

The Staff of Life reserves the right to refuse a guest entry and accommodation if management considers the guest to be under the influence of drink or drugs, inappropriately dressed or behaving in a threatening or abusive or similar inappropriate behaviour.

Guest consideration

The Staff of Life would like to ensure that all our guests have a peaceful and enjoyable stay with us. We respectfully ask all our guests to respect each others stay with us.
We may ask you and anyone else in your party to leave immediately if your behaviour is considered by us to be inappropriate, likely to cause harm to other guests, to our staff or management, or is likely to breach our terms and conditions.

In these circumstances, no refunds will be given. We have the right, either during your stay or after your stay, to recover from you the costs of any of the following:

Any compensation we may pay to others including our guests, the full value of any loss or damage to our property or accommodation, any other costs, charges or fees that we may incur resulting from your action or inaction and from any breach of this policy.
Please note that by staying with us you expressly agree to abide by the terms of this policy.


We do not allow pets at The Staff of Life.
Guests will not bring their own food and drink onto the premises for consumption at the Staff of Life and will not use their electrical appliances, such as mini cookers and toasters, because they may set off our fire alarm systems.
Children under the age of 14 years are not permitted at the bar but are welcome to eat in the dining areas provided they are supervised by an adult.
Children are not allowed in the dining areas after 10pm.
Please note that we do not accept stag and hen parties. In exceptional circumstances we reserve the right to alter or cancel your booking.
